Discharge Medication Management Service

When a Policyholder is transitioning into or out of a hospital stay, the risk of medication errors increases. Frontier International Group's Discharge Medication Management Service is in place to help reduce the risk of medication errors by working closely with Policyholders and the hospital's discharge staff.

Discharge Medication Management Service can help with:
  • streamlining the discharge process as it relates to medications
  • evaluating medications for age appropriateness, diagnosis, dosages and frequencies, directions, current OTC meds, any meds to be discontinued, any known allergies, drug interactions, reactions and sensitivities
  • coordinating patient education and training regarding medications

Debt Collectors Go After International Policyholders

U.S. healthcare providers use several resources to obtain compensation for unpaid services rendered to international travel and expatriate policyholders. One of the resources they use are debt collectors.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act controls how debt collectors may contact you regarding outstanding debts. You should know that the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires that debt collectors treat you and your client fairly and prohibits certain methods of debt collection. Of course, the law does not erase any legitimate debt that may be owed.

Here is a summary of questions and responses regarding the "fair debt collection practices" of a collection agency or collection attorney when calling a policy holder in an attempt to collect a medical debt that has occurred in the Unites States. If when contacted by a collector, you feel that they have violated any of the provisions listed below; please document the name of the collector and the agency he/she represents and kindly forward this information to Frontier International Group, Inc. so that we may notify the provider of the documented infractions and offending collection agency.
